DOLENJSKE TOPLICE - An association of the German ethnic community in Slovenia is to play host to Joerg Haider, the governor general of Austria's Carinthia province. Haider is to be accompanied by Austrian Ambassador to Slovenia Valentin Inzko.

VATICAN, the Vatican - President Janez Drnovsek, Prime Minister Janez Jansa, Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk, Education Minister Milan Zver and the head of the president's staff Valentina Flander are to make up the official Slovenian delegation attending the inaugural Mass of Pope Benedict XVI. Also expected to attend the mass is Archbishop of Ljubljana Alojz Uran, who is scheduled to talk to the press once he arrives back in Slovenia.

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - EU trade ministers are to gather for an informal dinner to debate measures to protect the European textile industry from Chinese imports. Economics Ministry officials Mojca Jazbinsek Volk and Andrijana Starina Kosem are due to attend on Slovenia's behalf.
