Ljubljana, 1 May - As overhauls continued at state-owned companies with the resignation of the NKBM chairman and the appointment of a new supervisory board at telco Telekom Slovenije, the government passed changes to allow pensions to rise more in sycn with wages. The move was met with disapproval by Joaquin Almunia, the European commissioner for economic and monetary affairs. The goveremnt also told mobile operator Vega it would not pay damages for what Vega claims were regulatory shortcomings and poor competition oversight.
