Verheugen Happy with First Year of EU Enlargement

Ljubljana, 26 April - "The team of new members have done well in the first year of membership, and there is no threat of their elimination," a former European enlargement commissioner commented, using language from the playing field, ahead of the 1st anniversary of the May 2004 round of enlargement.
