Two NGOs Offer Different Views on First Year of EU Membership

Ljubljana, 27 April - Young European Federalists (JEF) and the Society for International Relations have offered divergent perspectives on Slovenia's accomplishments and status in its first year as EU member. While JEF believes Slovenia has shown a "constructive political stance" although it is "lacking true elan", the society says Slovenia "did not get many opportunities, but new obligations coupled with worse protection of its less productive economy".
