Almunia Unhappy with Govt's Latest Pension Tweak

Ljubljana, 29 April - Joaquin Almunia, the European commissioner for economic and monetary affairs, is not happy with the government's move on Thursday to let pensions rise more in sync with wages. "The indexation that the government passed on Thursday in my opinion isn't a direction that public spending should focus on in the future," Almunia told MPs on Friday.
