Slovenia Has Been an EU Member for a Year
Ljubljana, 1 May - Today marks one year since Slovenia joined the European Union. It is too early to draw a line and sum up the advantages and disadvantages, but the overall estimate is that Slovenia positioned itself well in the European family of nations, and that the benefits far outweigh the shortcomings. It seems, however, that EU membership has not yet translated into changes in everyday life for the people.
