Ljubljana, 2 May - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 3 May:

LJUBLJANA - US Senator George Voinovich is to begin a two-day visit, to meet Slovenia's leadership. President Janez Drnovsek is to take this opportunity to decorate him with a Slovenian state order; 12 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - On a working visit to Slovenia, Hubert Gorbach, Austria's minister of transport, innovation and technology, is to meet his Slovenian counterpart Janez Bozic. The pair is to speak to the press at 6 PM. (STA)

NEW YORK, United States - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar is to conclude a visit to New York by addressing the opening session of the 7th review conference of parties to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT), which runs until 27 May.

LJUBLJANA - The ministries of public administration and the interior are to present the electronic birth registry and other new e-government services at a news conference at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The council of the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to discuss candidates for a new leadership, including president, to be elected at the upcoming early congress on 20 May; at 10 AM.

POSTOJNA - Some 2,200 soldiers from Slovenia, Italy and Hungary are to take part in "Clever Ferret 2005", this year's main tactical exercise of the Multinational Land Force, which will take place at Pocek near Postojna until 28 May; news conference at 11 AM.

AJDOVSCINA - Historians are to discuss the 60th anniversary of the formation of the Slovenian national government (5 May 1945) at a panel hosted at 5 PM by radio station Radio Koper and the daily Primorske novice.

ZAGREB, Croatia - Director general of the Civil Protection and Disaster Relief Administration Bojan Zmavc it to take part in the 6th session of the Slovenian-Croatian commission for protection from natural disasters.

TIRANA, Albania - Stanislav Rascan of the Slovenian Foreign Ministry is to attend a meeting marking two years since the signing of the Adriatic Charter, a document stressing the goal of Albania, Croatia and Macedonia's full integration into NATO and other Euro-Atlantic institutions.

INNSBRUCK, Austria - Slovenia will play Canada in the preliminary round of the World Ice Hockey Championships.
