Ljubljana, 8 May - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry called on the government this week to give it a greater role in setting the economic agenda for the future. Trade unions, meanwhile, responded angrily to suggestions that sickness benefits may be cut, claiming employers bear the bulk of the responsibility for sick workers. Despite their differing views on workers' rights, the employers and unions put up a common front in opposing parts of the government-sponsored changes to pension insurance legislation.
