Ljubljana, 12 May - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 12 May:
LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its weekly session. The main item on the agenda is the supplementary budget for this year. A press conference is scheduled for after the session, expectedly at 2 PM. (STA)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - The final day of a two-day annual meetings of NATO chiefs of staff, attended on behalf of Slovenia by Major General Ladislav Lipic. (STA)
KLAGENFURT, Austria - Bilingual town signs are to be put up at 19 localities that were supposed to have bilingual signposts under a 1977 decree. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The future of the Slovenian public broadcaster is to be discussed at a public debate organised at 10 AM organised by the parliamentary committee for culture, education and sports. A similar debate is to be staged by the Peace Institute, an NGO, at 6 PM.
LJUBLJANA - A round table on lobbying in the EU is to be staged at 5 PM as part of Europe Week at Center Evropa. Attendance is expected by Agriculture Ministry State Secretary Franci But, Gregor Krajc, the former Brussels correspondent for the public broadcaster, and others.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to host a public debate on the EU's cohesion policy as part of events marking Europe Week.
LJUBLJANA - A memorandum on the history of Italian-Slovenian relations is to be presented at a press conference scheduled for noon. The contributors include defence studies professor Anton Bebler as well as historians Bozo Repe and Joze Pirjevec.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Drago Kos, the head of the Corruption Prevention Commission and head of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), is to address a ministerial on tackling corruption in Southeast Europe.
PORTOROZ - The ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) are to stage a round-table on limitations and advantages of Slovenia's foreign policy after EU entry, featuring FM Dimitrij Rupel; at 4 PM.
PODPEC - The People's Party (SLS) is to mark the 17th anniversary since the establishment of its predecessor, the Slovenian Farmers' Union; at 6 PM.
CELJE - The Zlatorog business club is to stage a debate on Slovenia's development breakthrough in the EU, to be attended by head of the government's strategic council for economic development Mico Mrkaic, head of the Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) Janez Sustersic and others. Starts at 6 PM.
VELENJE - Household appliance manufacturer Gorenje is to talk to the press at 1:30 PM to present the group's first quarter results and strategic plans. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The supervisory board of NKBM, the country's No. 2 bank, is to examine Q1 results and make the necessary preparations for the June annual general meeting.
KRANJ - Sava Tires, a subsidiary of US tyre company Goodyear, is to present business results for 2004 at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Internet provider Voljatel komunikacije is to hold a press conference at 10:30 AM to present the launch of VoIP services.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Academy of Arts and Sciences (SAZU) is to host an international meeting on the importance of transport for the economy and sustainable development, which starts at 10 AM.
LJUBLJANA - A press conference at 11 AM ahead of the Druga Godba festival of world music, which is to take place between 6 and 11 June.
