LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Outset of a two-day informal meeting of EU finance ministers, who will be joined by central bank governors, to discuss the Union's 2007-2013 budget. Slovenia to be represented by Andrej Bajuk and Mitja Gaspari respectively.
LJUBLJANA/MARIBOR - Upon the conclusion of Europe Week, chair of the EU affairs committee Anton Kokalj is to summarise debates held at the National Assembly as part of the week (10 AM). Maribor is to host a debate on Slovenia a year after EU entry at 7 PM. (STA)
BUDAPEST, Hungary - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a meeting of the Quadrilateral, a four-nation partnership uniting Croatia, Italy, Hungary and Slovenia. Efforts by SE European countries to join the EU and NATO are to top the agenda.
VIENNA, Austria - The head of the government Office for Slovenians Abroad Franc Puksic is to attend a ceremony marking 60 years since the end of WWII, the 50th anniversary of the Austrian State Treaty and 20 years of the Centre of Austrian National Communities. The event is organised by the centre and several minority organisations.
LJUBLJANA - Czech Deputy FM Vladimir Mueller, who is charge of European affairs, is to pay a working visit, to meet State Secretary for European Affairs Marcel Koprol at 11:15 AM.
IZOLA - A panel on education and young people in Europe is to be held at 3:30 PM, organised by the coalition Slovenian Democrats (SDS) on the eve of their 8th congress.
GORIZIA, Italy - Slovenian MEP Borut Pahor (SD/PES) is to attend a debate on Euroregions and cross-border cooperation, organised at 6 PM by a Slovenian minority organisation.
PIRAN - A two-day seminar "Nations - States and Xenophobias: In the Ruins of Ex-Yugoslavia" to begin, organised by the independent research Peace Institute and a Croatian society of political scientists; news conference at 12 AM.
ROGASKA SLATINA - A two-day seminar on ethnic minorities that are not recognised as such in the Slovenia Constitution is to begin at 9:30 as part of an international project dubbed "education and training for fighting discrimination in Slovenia".
LJUBLJANA - The college of deputy faction leaders and the speaker of the National Assembly are to meet at noon to determine the agenda of the May session, due to begin on Monday.
VRANSKO - The foundation stone is to be laid for a research centre of alternative sources of energy, with the economics and environment ministers attending; at 2:30 PM.
LJUBLJANA - To mark World Metrology Day, Slovenia's Metrology Office (MIRS) is to hold a special event to highlight metrology as a science. Addresses by Science and Technology Minister Jure Zupan and MIRS director Ivan Skubic at 10 AM.
