PORTOROZ - Some 450 delegates of the Slovenian Democrats (SDS) are to gather for their 8th congress 9 AM to elect a new party leadership, and adopt an upgraded programme and several resolutions. SDS leader Janez Jansa will seek re-election. (STA)

PORTOROZ - Prime Minister Janez Jansa and his Croatian counterpart Ivo Sanader are to hold an informal working meeting.

ALMATY, Kazakhstan - Alojz Peterle, the OSCE special envoy for Central Asia, is to travel to Kazakhstan and from there to Kyrgyzstan.

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Conclusion of a two-day informal meeting of EU finance ministers and central bank governors, who are discussing the Union's 2007-2013 budget. Slovenia is represented by Andrej Bajuk and Mitja Gaspari respectively.

POLJANE PRI PREVALJAH/SOLKAN - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to address a ceremony marking 60 years since the end of WWII (11 AM), whereupon he is to attend a ceremony upon the 90th anniversary of the Soca Front (Isonzo Front) at 3 PM.

KOPER - The official opening of a Turkish honorary consulate, to be headed by honorary consul and deputy CEO of port manager Luka Koper Vitomir Mavric.

GORIZIA, Italy - The Gorizia State Library is to host an exhibition of 180 drawing and prints by Slovenian artist Zoran Music (born in 1909). Opens at 6 PM.
