POSTOJNA - A ceremony is to be held at the Postojna barracks to mark the Slovenian Armed Forces Day. With addresses by President Janez Drnovsek, Defence Minister Karl Erjavec and Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Ladislav Lipic, the event starts at noon. (STA)

TRIESTE, Italy - The umbrella organisations of the Slovenian minority in Italy are to organise an event celebrating 60 years of liberation and the 60th anniversary of the daily Primorski dnevnik; at 4 PM.

VIENNA, Austria - A celebration marking 50 years since the signing of the Austrian State Treaty. The treaty is crucial for Slovenia, as its Article 7 talks sets out minority rights for the Slovenian and Croatian minorities.
