Parliament Fails to Back New National Holiday
Ljubljana, 17 May - Lawmakers turned down a proposal to make 15 September a national holiday to remember the day the Primorsko region was made a part of Slovenia after WWII. Moreover, the National Assembly decided on Tuesday to extend the term for applying for the status of former political prisoner and to call a parliamentary debate on the country's standpoints on EU budget talks.
