Ljubljana, 12 September - politics. Not only was John Paul II received with all state honors, he also announced the time when Croatian church should become a sort of mediator in the peace process in the Balkans. As far as the parish of Razkrižje is concerned, the paper says that the Pope's move prior to his visit to Croatia has got a political significance as well. It is a short-term compromise, which is to be confirmed when the border between Slovenia and Croatia is ratified, concludes Večer.
