Ljubljana, 19 May - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 20 May:
LJUBLJANA - The junior coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) is to convene an electoral congress starting at 9 AM. The election of a new president and a possible name change will top the agenda. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - A meeting at noon of the SLOMAK, a coordinating body of the Slovenian minorities from Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, to be attended by all seven Slovenian MEPs. A press conference is scheduled after the meeting. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary committee for foreign policy (8:30 AM) and the EU affairs committee (2 PM) are to review behind closed doors the positions that FM Dimitrij Rupel is set to represent at the 23 May session of the EU's General Affairs and External Relations Council.
LUXEMBOURG - The start of a two-day meeting of EU ministers in charge of regional government and spatial planning. Attendance is expected by Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar and State Secretary at the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning Marko Starman.
PORTOROZ - The two-day meeting of the Association of Supervisory Board Members is to wrap up with a lecture on severance pay (10 AM) and a debate on management bonuses (10:30 AM). (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The Consumer Association and the Economics Ministry are to organise a round-table debate at 9 AM entitled "Consumer Protection Policy in the EU and Slovenia".
BERGEN, Norway - The conclusion of a two-day Bologna Process ministerial which is reviewing the process and discussing new guidelines. Attendance of Slovenian Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan.
WROCLAW, Poland - A two-day European summit of cities and regions, organised by the EU Committee of the Regions, is to wrap up. Several Slovenian mayors are in attendance.
LJUBLJANA - The shadow government of the Liberal Democrats (LDS) is to discuss the 2005 supplementary budget, the EU's next budget period and other issues at a session starting at 9 AM.
OZBALT - Dravske elektrarne, which operates hydro power plants on the Drava river in NE Slovenia, is to hold at noon ceremony as it wraps up renovation works on a number of its plants.
PORTOROZ - A two-day international conference on best practices in communications is to get underway at 9:45 PM.
LJUBLJANA - High school graduates from around Slovenia are to take part in traditional graduation parades across Slovenia, dancing the quadrille to improve the Guinness World Record for simultaneous dancing yet again.
