BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to leave for Belgrade to take part in the annual assembly of the board of governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The minister is expected to hold several bilateral talks, including with EBRD President Jacques Lemierre. The EBRD meeting will also be attended by the management of Slovenia's leading bank, Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB), which is to sign with the EBRD an agreement on joint capital investments in SE Europe. BRDO PRI KRANJU - The National Party (SNS), the smallest opposition party, is to convene its 7th congress at 1 PM to elect the president and update the party programme. Having led the party since its inception in 1991, Zmago Jelincic is the only candidate. (STA)
TRIESTE, Italy - A ceremony is to mark the 60th anniversary of Slovenian minority schools in Italy. Address by Slovenian Education Minister Milan Zver. (STA)
PEKRE - A ceremony is to mark 14 years since an incident between the Yugoslav People's Army and the Slovenian defence forces took place. The Pekre incident lead to the Slovenian independence war in 1991. Key-note address by Interior Minister Dragutin Mate at 11:30 AM.
VACE - A ceremony upon the day of the veterans of the Slovenian independence war is to take place at 11 AM to mark the 15th anniversary of the formation of the National Defence Combat Troops. PM Janez Jansa the key-note speaker.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - The two-day meeting of EU ministers in charge of regional government and spatial planning, attended by Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar and State Secretary at the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning Marko Starman, is to wrap up.
NOVO MESTO - A panel is to compare Slovenia's health care system with systems from around the world as the 4th conference of Slovenian doctors from around the globe wraps up. Health Minister Andrej Brucan to attend.
