OSCE Chairman Urges Uzbekistan to Allow Independent Inquiry

Ljubljana, 20 May - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, in his capacity as OSCE chairman, has urged Uzbekistan to allow an independent investigation into the events in the eastern city of Andijan, where troops were reported to have killed scores of protesters as they suppressed anti-government demonstrations.
