PORTOROZ - The 22nd conference on finance and stock market organised by the Ljubljana Stock Exchange is to begin, with a number of talks by experts and panels to be organised through 27 May; begins at 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - PM Janez Jansa and his cabinet are to meet coalition MPs at 5 PM to outline the 2005 supplementary budget bill, and discuss topical issues. A statement to the press is to follow the meeting.
CATEZ OB SAVI - The Society of Tax Advisors is to gather for the 12th days of tax advisors. Problems of the new tax legislation as well as pros and cons of a flat tax rate are to be discussed, among other topics, through 28 May; begins at 1:30 PM.
PORTOROZ - A three-day event on how companies are doing a year after EU entry is to begin at 9 AM, organised by the University of Maribor and the Institute of Corporate Law; news conference at 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to discuss, behind closed doors at 9 AM, several EU-related matters as well as the implementation of a Slovenia-Croatia border cooperation and traffic accord.
LJUBLJANA - Justice Ministry State Secretary Robert Marolt is to present the latest data on denationalisation at a news conference scheduled for 12 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The executive council of the coalition People's Party (SLS) is to discuss a number of topical issues and the 2006 local elections. SLS leader Janez Podobnik is to give a statement to the press at 4:30 PM.
PORTOROZ - A traditional meeting of political scientists entitled "Democracy in Globalisation - Globalisation in Democracy" is to begin at 2:30 PM; running through 28 May.
LJUBLJANA - The winner of the 2005 Vilenica Grand Prix for literature is to be presented at a news conference at 11 AM, alongside the programme of the 20th Vilenica international meeting of writers. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - At its weekly session, the government is to discuss changes to the act on courts, the act on auditing public procurement procedures, and the act on the access to public information; news conference at 2 PM.
TATRANSKA LOMNICA, Slovakia - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar is to begin a two-day visit to Slovakia to attend an annual meeting of CEI foreign ministers. The situation in CEI countries and its cooperation with the EU are to top the agenda.
BERN, Switzerland - Chief-of-staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Ladislav Lipic is to begin a two-day visit to Switzerland upon the invitation of his counterpart, Lt. Gen. Christoph Keckeis.
LJUBLJANA - Two associations of trade unions, the ZSSS and Pergam, are to speak to the press at 1 PM about topical workers' problems and industrial relations.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on waste management is to be staged at by the National Council and the Club of Slovenian Entrepreneurs at 5 PM. Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to attend.
LJUBLJANA - Agency Kline & partner is to present a survey on the reputation of Slovenian managers at a news conference scheduled for 1 PM.
RADENCI - A press conference at 12:30 PM upon a session of the general assembly of the European Federation of Bottled Water (EFBW).
