Ljubljana, 26 May - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 27 May:

LJUBLJANA - The spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is to begin, running through 31 May. A press conference ahead of the session is scheduled for noon. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council is to examine amendments to the act on pension and disability insurance, the bill on collective agreements and the amendments to the bill on health care; at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to meet behind closed doors to debate the forthcoming sessions of the EU's councils for agriculture and fisheries, and justice and home affairs. A press statement scheduled for 4 PM.

LUXEMBOURG - Cooperation between Europe and Latin America is to feature high at the EU-Latin America ministerial. Slovenia is to be represented by Andrej Logar, the acting head of the Foreign Ministry's directorate general for European affairs.

BERN, Switzerland - Major General Ladislav Lipic, the Slovenian chief-of-staff, is to conclude a two-day visit to Switzerland.

PORTOROZ - The final day of the 22nd conference on finance and stock markets. participants will discuss the coming changes in the capital markets of SE Europe.

LJUBLJANA - The Association for Trade at the Chamber of Commerce (GZS) it to debate the recent decision of the Constitutional Courts on the opening hours of stores; at 10 AM.

PORTOROZ - The second day of the annual meeting of political scientists. Debates will look into democratisation of public administration and the globalisation of public policies, among other issues.

TATRANSKA LOMNICA, Slovakia - The final day of the annual meeting of CEI foreign ministers. Slovenia is represented by Foreign Ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar.

BRDO PRI KRANJU - The annual assembly of the Association of Municipalities, to be attended by Minister for Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar and Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant; starts at 9:30 AM.

VELENJE - The official opening at 9 AM of the annual meeting of the executive committee of the European Council of Police Trade Unions (CESP).
