Ljubljana, 30 May - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 31 May:

LJUBLJANA - NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, who is to attend the session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, is to visit Slovenia at the invitation of PM Janez Jansa. A joint statement to the press is scheduled for 1:45 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The plenary session of the NATO parliamentary assembly is to open at 8:45 AM, to be attended by NATO PA President Pierre Lellouche, NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer (address at 10:10 AM), PM Janez Jansa (address at 9:40 AM), Parliament Speaker France Cukjati, FM Dimitrij Rupel and Defence Minister Karel Erjavec. On the margins of the meeting, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is to deliver a lecture on NATO transformation at the Faculty of Social Sciences (at 2:30 PM). (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Columbian Foreign Minister Carolina Barco is to meet FM Dimitrij Rupel and Speaker France Cukjati as part of her official visit to Slovenia. Barco and Rupel are expected to address the press at 11:40 AM. (STA)

LOVRAN/RIJEKA/ZAGREB, Croatia - A delegation of the parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad, headed by the commission chair Janez Kramberger, is to begin a two day visit to Croatia.

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Foreign ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar is to attend the 7th Euromed ministerial.

LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to present their views on the possible introduction of a flat tax and its consequences. (STA)

PORTOROZ - The Slovenian Marketing Association in cooperation with the business daily Finance is to organise a two-day marketing conference entitled "First Year in the EU - How Did the Marketing Strategies Stand the Test?"; opens at 9:30 AM.

CATEZ OB SAVI - The Terme Catez health resort is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to present its business results for the year 2004.

RAVNE NA KOROSKEM - The Metal Ravne steel company is to hold a press conference at 8:30 AM to present its business results for the first quarter of this year.

LJUBLJANA - Mutual health insurer Vzajemna is to speak about its 2004 operating results and forecasts for this year at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Janez Jansa, Ivan Borstner, David Tasic and Franci Zavrl are to meet to mark the 17th anniversary of the process against them before court martial. The process and the public reaction against it triggered democratic changes in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The executive committee of New Slovenia (NSi, coalition) is to meet to debate preparations for the autumn party congress.

LJUBLJANA - The National Council is to hold a public debate themed "Slovenian Universities and European reform Processes"; at 11 AM.

PORTOROZ - A two-day conference on non-discrimination and the rights of the disabled, organised by the Labour and Social Affairs Ministry, concludes.

CELJE - An exhibition entitled "Concealed and Hidden to the Eye - Concealed Graves 60 Years after the WWII" by Mitja Ferenc is to open at the Museum of Recent History at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The National Archives, Slovenian Cinematheque and the Film Fund are to present celebrations marking the centenary of Slovenian film at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The project of Vadim Fiskin to be featured at the 51st Venice Biennial of Contemporary Art is to be presented at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The National Transplant Institute and the Transfusion medicine Institute are to present a project aimed at encouraging people to think about donating bone marrow; at 11 AM.
