NATO PA Adopts Declarations on Uzbekistan, Darfur

Ljubljana, 31 May - The NATO Parliamentary Assembly adopted declarations on Uzbekistan and Darfur at its plenary session in Ljubljana on Tuesday. In the documents, parliamentarians from NATO member and partner states call for an international investigation into the recent government crackdown on protesters in eastern Uzbekistan and express backing for providing NATO aid to the African Union-led mission in Darfur.
