Ljubljana, 9 June - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 10 June:

BRIJUNI/PULA, Croatia - The Slovenian and Croatian governments are to hold their first ever joint session at Brijuni at 11 AM, to sign a declaration on avoiding incidents and several other agreements. The prime ministers are to talk to the press at 1:15 PM. The Slovenian-Croatian historical commission is to meet for its maiden session in Pula at 3:30 PM. (STA)

BLED - A two-day meeting of speakers of parliament from the regional partnership gathering Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, as well as speakers from several SE European countries, is to begin at 2 PM. Slovenian Speaker France Cukjati is to give a statement to the press at 5:20 PM. (STA)

PORTOROZ - European Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Mariann Fischer Boel is to pay a visit, to hold talks with Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic and attend a conference of the European Livestock and Meat Trading Union. Fischer Boel and Lukacic are to give a statement to the press at 2 PM. (STA)

PARIS, France - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec to begin a three-day visit to France to attend the 22nd international conference on global security.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary committee for European affairs is to hold a closed-door session at 2 PM to discuss the upcoming meeting of the European Council.

LJUBLJANA - The parliament's collegiate body is to meet at 10 AM to decide on the agenda for the June session.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Liberal Democracy (LDS) is to hold a news conference at 1 PM to talk about a proposal to introduce flat tax rate.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Social Democrats (SD) are to hold a news conference at 1 PM to talk about topical issues.

PORTOROZ - A general assembly of the European Livestock and Meat Trading Union is to begin at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - A two-day conference of the umbrella organisation of the European steel industry, Eurofer, is to conclude, a news conference scheduled for 12:45 PM.

BLED - The 8th annual Slovenian Tourism Forum, organised by the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO), is to conclude.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to hold a news conference at 11 AM, to talk about promotion of Slovenian companies on foreign markets.

VENICE, Italy - Slovenia's national pavilion featuring an installation by Vadim Fiskin is to officially open at the "A+A" Gallery as part of the Venice biennial of contemporary art.

ZAGORJE - The 10th international festival of chamber music, Valvasor Evenings, is to begin.
