Ljubljana, 14 June - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 15 June:

LJUBLJANA - Government is to hold its weekly session at 10 AM, a press conference is scheduled for 14 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to hold a session, a part of which will be held behind closed doors. PM Janez Jansa's participation at the upcoming EU summit is to top the agenda of the session to begin at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to resume its regular June session at 10 AM.

METLIKA - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to meet Croatian counterpart Marijan Mlinaric at a traditional meeting to discuss cooperation during the summer tourist season and current relations in the field of internal affairs. Statements to the press are scheduled for 12:50 PM. (STA)

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany - OSCE chairman and Slovenia FM Dimitrij Rupel is to deliver an address at the George C. Marshall Centre for European Security Studies at 8:30 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Human Rights Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to hold a press conference at 10 AM, to present the role of the omubudsman's office in preventing violence against children.

MURSKA SOBOTA - The US Ambassador Thomas B. Robertson is to visit the Slovenian Roma Association and the Roma settlements in northeastern region of Prekmurje.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to talk about the consequnces of reducing the chamber's powers.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljanske mlekarne, Slovenia's leading dairy, is to talk about its plans at a press conference at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Pensioners' Trade Union is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to discuss flat tax rate introduction. (STA)

MARIBOR - The Green Party is to hold a press conference at 12 AM to discuss current issues and mark the 16th anniversary of the party.

BLED - The opening ceremony for the 71st International PEN Congressis is to begin at 8 PM, to be followed by the first of the round-table debates, themed "Tower of Babel - a Curse or a Blessing?".
