Lojze Peterle, President of Slovene Christian Democrats, resigned on Friday from the post of Foreign Minister. As he explained in a press conference, his resignation is "a matter of principle". He resigned because of the "unprincipled actions" connected with Friday's election of the new Speaker of Parliament Jožef Školč, member of Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (LDS).
