Ljubljana, 19 June - Parliament finally began a debate on the supplementary budget bill, after the finance and monetary policy committee took almost 30 hours to examine it. In addition to the budget, agriculture was in the centre of controversy last week following the news that the European Commission, unhappy with Slovenia's new income tax law, temporarily halted the payment of two farm subsidies to the country. Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic meanwhile had to face accusations of being incompetent.
