Ljubljana, 22 June - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 23 June:

LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session. The agenda includes a bill on the promotion of balanced regional development; plans for a national development programme and the subsequent strategic documents for EU cohesion policy ; and the strategy of Slovenia's development. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The government Institute for Macroeconomic Analyses and development (IMAD) is to host a round-table debate on effects of EU entry and the challenges of macroeconomic policies in the face of the euro changeover; at 1 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The way in which parliamentary sessions are or should be chaired is to be debated by the college of deputy faction leaders and the speaker of parliament; at noon.

LJUBLJANA - A public debate at 3 PM on how to revitalise the EU after the rejection of the constitution, organised by the Institute for Strategic Studies. To be attended by MEP Alojz Peterle, EU Ambassador Erwan Fouere and British Ambassador Tim Simmons.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to meet behind closed doors at 11 AM to examine the proposed European Parliament directive on protection of underground waters from pollution. A press statement at 1 PM.

MONACO, Monaco - FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in the 16th annual session of the Crans Montana Forum. On this occasion, he will be conferred the Prix de la Fondation for achievements in international relations.

CELJE - Engrotus, the country's No. 3 grocer, it to outline plans to expand to Macedonia; at 9 AM.

BRNIK - Flag carrier Adria Airways is to unveil at 2 PM a new hangar for aircraft maintenance, a part of its authorised maintenance centre for Bombardier jets.

LJUBLJANA - The Kresnik Award for novel of the year is to be conferred at a ceremony scheduled for 7:30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The opening at 9 PM of the 26th International Biennial of Graphic Arts; runs until 2 October.

LJUBLJANA - The assembly of the Health Insurance Institute (ZZZS) is to examine proposed health reform measures at a session at 11 AM.
