LJUBLJANA - Slovenia marks National Day, remembering the day when the documents enabling Slovenia to declare independence were passed in 1991. A Mass is to be celebrated by Ljubljana Archbishop Alojz Uran at 6:30 PM.
TIANJIN, China - EU and Asian finance ministers (ASEM) are to begin a two-day session. Slovenia will be represented by Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk.
MONACO, Monaco - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to chair a debate on EU enlargement and the role of judicial cooperation at the Crans Montana Forum.
VIENNA, Austria - A two-day meeting of the Party of European Socialists (PES), attended by the leader of the Slovenian Social Democrats (SD) Borut Pahor, is to conclude.

TRIESTE, Italy - Slovenian poet and translator Ciril Zlobec is to receive the Fulvio Tomizza Award for promoting understanding and coexistence among the people along the Slovenian-Italian border.

MARIBOR - The football team Drava Ptuj are to take on Croatia's Slaven Belupo at 8:45 PM in the return match of the Intertoto Cup first round. A week ago, the Croatian team beat Ptuj 1:0.
