Slovenian Kayakers Take Gold in Team Event

Ljubljana, 25 June - Slovenian kayakers Dejan Kralj, Peter Kauzer and Andrej Nolimal finished first in Saturday's men's K1 team event at the 6th European Slalom Racing Championships in Tacen. Despite incurring a two-second penalty, the Slovenians finished comfortably ahead of the German and Italian teams. This is Slovenia's second-ever gold medal at European Slalom Championships - Simon Hocevar won the first in 1996 in the men's C1 event.
