        LJUBLJANA - The panel of eminent persons are to hand to OSCE chairman and Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel a report on how to make this security organisation more efficient.
        LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council is to debate several legislative changes to employment, social security and health care. The drafting of a new social agreement (2006-2008) is also on its agenda.
        LJUBLJANA - Slovenia's second largest insurer Zavarovalnica Maribor is to speak about its five-month business results and a contract with the newspaper publisher Dnevnik.
        MARIBOR - A panel is to debate the reasons behind the recent French "no" to the European constitution.
        LJUBLJANA - Results of the latest Politbarometer opinion poll are to be presented to the press.
        LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Slovenian Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to attend a two-day session of the EU Council for Transport, Telecommunications and Energy.

        NEW YORK, the US - Stanislav Rascan of the Slovenian Foreign Ministry is to attend a two-day UN General Assembly high-level dialogue on financing for development.
        LJUBLJANA - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to meet the new Bosnian Ambassador to Slovenia Izmir Talic; and representatives of the Slovenian minority in Hungary.
        ANKARA, Turkey - A delegation of the Slovenian parliamentary European affairs committee led by its chair Anton Kokalj is to begin a four-day official visit to Turkey.
        LJUBLJANA - The college of deputy faction leaders and the speaker of the National Assembly are to debate a draft of the parliament's code of ethics.
        LJUBLJANA - The winner of the Levstik Award is to be announced as the publisher Mladinska knjiga gears up to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
        NOVA GORICA - The 9th international meeting of saxophonists is to get under way.

TUESDAY, 28 June
        LJUBLJANA - A four-day conference of the NATO-Russia Council on the fight against terror is to get under way, organised by the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies and the US-led NATO mission in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry.
        LJUBLJANA - Hungarian FM Ferenc Somogy is to visit Slovenia to meet his counterpart Dimitrij Rupel, Speaker France Cukjati and Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic.
        LJUBLJANA - Insurance companies Adriatic and Slovenica are to hold a press conference to present the decision of both companies' shareholders to merge.
        LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to hold a press conference on technological development and environment.

WEDNESDAY, 29 June
        VELENJE - The government is to pay another in a series of visits to Slovenian regions. This time it is to visit the Savinjsko-Salesko region, east.
        LJUBLJANA - An international conference on preventing violence and sexual abuse of children, to be held between 5 and 9 July, is to be presented at a press conference.
        LJUBLJANA - The council of the national broadcaster RTV Slovenija is to meet behind closed doors.
        LJUBLJANA - A Slovenian-Croatian commission is to hold its 8th session, to be led by Slovenian Economics Ministry State Secretary Andrijana Starina Kosem and her Croatian counterpart Vladimir Vrankovic.
        LJUBLJANA - The international street theatre festival Ana Desetnica, to be held until 3 July, is to begin.

THURSDAY, 30 June
        WASHINGTON, the US - FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel is to begin a visit to Washington to attend the annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
        SKOPJE, Macedonia - Chief-of-Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces Ladislav Lipic is to begin a two-day visit to Macedonia.
        LJUBLJANA - Regular weekly government session.
        LJUBLJANA - The Education Ministry is to confer the title of "Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia" for outstanding scientific achievement.
        LJUBLJANA - The 46th Ljubljana Jazz Festival is to begin.
        CELJE - The beginning of the Summer in Celje festival, to be held until 31 August.

FRIDAY, 1 July
        LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy and EU affairs committees are to hold a joint session to discuss Great Britain's upcoming EU presidency.
        LJUBLJANA - Head of the Marshall European Center for Security Studies John Rose, on a visit to Slovenia, is to meet Defence Ministry State Secretary Franci Znidarsic.
        WASHINGTON, the US - FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel is to meet US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. He is also to address the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's plenary session.
        BREZICE - The beginning of the Brezice early music festival.
        BLED - The international Bled music festival is to begin.

SATURDAY, 2 July
        LJUBLJANA - A traditional gathering of Slovenians from around the world is to take place in the face of the 60th commemoration of post-war emigrations.

SUNDAY, 3 July
        LJUBLJANA - The emigrants association Slovenia in the World is to hold a ceremony in the Cankarjev dom arts centre, with PM Janez Jansa as key-note speaker.
        TORONTO, Canada - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a celebration of the Slovenian National Day, organised by the Slovenian community in Canada.
        LJUBLJANA - The 7th international Mini Summer children's festival is to begin.
