Vrsno Celebrates 150th Anniversary of Simon Gregorčič's Birth

The 150th anniversary of the Slovene poet Simon Gregorčič's birth (1844-1906) was yesterday marked by a celebration in the poet's birth place Vrsno. Speaking at the celebration, the Triest poet Miroslav Košuta pointed out Gregorčič's clairvoyance. Among the ideas that came thrue in reality was Gregorčič's "dream about storms from the warm South" and that about the most Slovenes united under the same roof. Organizers invited Košuta to give a speech to symbolically show that Gregorčič is a poet who unites all Slovenes no matter the intellectual diversities between them.
