Ljubljana, 3 July - Below is a schedule of events for for Monday, 4 July:

LJUBLJANA - A EUR 25m contact is to be signed at 11:30 AM by the European Investment Bank and Slovenia's largest bank Nova Ljubljanska banka for the NLB to receive the remaining part of a EUR 100m credit line for loans to small businesses. (STA)

OTOCEC - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to meet his Croatian counterpart Bozidar Kalmeta at 11 AM to discuss road infrastructure projects and problems faced by Slovenian and Croatian hauliers; a statement to the press at 1 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Social Democrats (SD) are to speak to the press at 11:30 AM about the planned division of Slovenia into cohesion regions. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Several public persons are to present a public statement at 1 PM condemning the hate speech used in parliament. The statement has been signed by more than 300 people so far. (STA)

VIPAVA - The economics and environment ministers, Andrej Vizjak and Janez Podobnik, are to speak to the press at 1:30 PM as they visit the valley of Vipava, southwest.

LJUBLJANA - Veterinary inspectors of the EU Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) are to start a five-day visit to Slovenia to check the country's BSE control standards.

WARSAW, Poland - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to meet Polish Minister of Interior Affairs and Administration Ryszard Kalisz to sign a protocol on the implementation of a bilateral agreement on illegal migrants.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Biomass Association is to organise the 6th international SLOBIOM 2005 conference. The main topic of the two-day conference will be renewable energy sources for Slovenia and SE Europe up to 2020.

LJUBLJANA - The Russian Bolshoi Theatre is to open the 53rd Ljubljana Summer Festival with Sergei Prokofiev's opera "The Fiery Angel" at 9 PM; through 18 August.

LJUBLJANA - Activity of the Slovenian World Congress and the celebration of its 15th anniversary are to be presented to the press at 1 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The international youth gathering "Brave New Europe 2005 - Dinner for 25", organised by the Young European Federalists (JEF), is to begin at 9:30 AM.
