Ljubljana, 4 July - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 5 July:

LJUBLJANA - An international conference on violence and sexual abuse of children, organised by UNICEF, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Council of Europe and the Slovenian government, is to begin (to conclude on 7 July). A news conference is scheduled for 1 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar and European Affairs State Secretary Marcel Koprol are to hold a news conference at 2 PM, to present the government's plans for negotiations on Slovenia's division into cohesion regions. (STA)

ZAGREB - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to attend the first meeting of the international commission for the Sava River basin.

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to meet Erhard Busek, special coordinator of the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe, at 8 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Following Great Britain's takeover of the EU presidency, FM Dimitrij Rupel is to receive British Ambassador Tim Simmons at 12 AM.

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive credentials by the newly-appointed ambassadors of Thailand (at 10:30 AM), Spain (at 11:45 AM) and Netherlands (at 1 PM).

LJUBLJANA - The head of the parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad Janez Kramberger is to hold a press conference at 11 AM, to talk about the situation of the Slovenian minority in the neighbouring countries.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce is to discuss its 2004 annual report at the AGM at 9 AM. The president of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and the president of Eurochambers Christoph Leitl is to visit the chamber and hold talks with Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak at 10 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Trade Association of the Chamber of Commerce is to talk to the press at 3:15 PM about double pricing and the amendments of the law on trade.

MARIBOR - The Slovenian number two bank NKBM is to hold a news conference at 11 AM to talk about its operations.

LJUBLJANA - The two-day international SLOBIOM 2005 conference, focusing on renewable energy sources for Slovenia and SE Europe up to 2020, is to conclude.

MARIBOR - Faculties for natural sciences are to talk to the press at 11 AM about their development and the possibilities to establish a Technical University in Maribor.

LJUBLJANA - The Student Organisation of the University of Ljubljana and its partner organisations from Croatia, Serbia-Montenegro, Italy and Slovenia, are to hold a round table entitled "Who Are Minorities?" as part of the project "Equal Opportunities", at 6 PM.

KRN - The Office for Religious Communities is to organise a two-day meeting for religious communities.

LJUBLJANA - The first posthumous exhibition of the acclaimed Slovenian artist Zoran Music is to open at the arts centre Cankarjev Dom at 8 PM. (STA)
