MONDAY, 11 July

POTOCARI, Bosnia-Herzegovina - FM Dimitrij Rupel, the OSCE chairman, is to attend a remembrance ceremony marking the tenth anniversary of the massacre of some 8,000 Muslims at Srebrenica.

BUDAPEST, Hungary - Bozo Cerar, state secretary at the Foreign Ministry, is to attend a meeting of foreign ministers of the regional partnership which comprises the Visegrad Group (Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia) plus Slovenia and Austria.

CARDIFF, UK - Informal meeting of the EU Competitiveness Council, to be attended by Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak and Minister of Higher Education and Science and Technology Jure Zupan.

LJUBLJANA - The start of the 8th regular parliament session.

LJUBLJANA - Amnesty International Slovenije is to stage a symbolic action in the centre of the city in remembrance of the victims of the Srebrenica massacre.

LJUBLJANA - The Defence Research Centre is to present the results of a public opinion survey dubbed "National and International Security".

BOVEC - The Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning is to hold a press conference to present the results of the reconstruction efforts in the Posocje region one year after the devastating earthquake.

LIPICA - The start of the 3rd international poetry and translation workshop, with participation by 23 poets and translators from 13 countries; until 17 July.

TUESDAY, 12 July

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to attend the meeting of the EU Council for Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN).

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to host a Russian-Slovenian business conference.

LJUBLJANA - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to stage a press conference to speak about current human rights issues.

LJUBLJANA - A round table on challenges facing the ratification of the EU constitution is to be held as part of the summer university Brave New Europe 2005.

JESENICE - Steel mill Acroni is to present the business results for the first half of the year at a press conference.

LJUBLJANA - Nova Revija, a right-leaning intellectual journal, is to speak to the press to mark the 25th anniversary of the initiative to establish the journal, and prospects for the future.

WEDNESDAY, 13 July

BUDAPEST, Hungary - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to attend the meeting of heads of government of the regional partnership (Visegrad Group plus Slovenia and Austria).

MOSCOW, Russia - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, the OSCE chairman, is due to meet his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Extraordinary meeting of EU justice and home ministers dedicated to the London terrorist attacks of 7 July. Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is expected to attend.

PORTOROZ - The Agency for Regional Development is to organise a day-long conference on Slovenia's experience with cross-border cooperation.

LJUBLJANA - A round table on the EU accession prospects of Turkey is to be held as part of the summer university Brave New Europe 2005.

THURSDAY, 14 July

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to hold talks with Governor of the Russian province of Sverdlov Eduard Rossel and UN special representative for Kosovo Soeren Jessen-Petersen, respectively.

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Russian province of Sverdlov is to pay a visit at the invitation of Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak.

LJUBLJANA - A debate on the reality of the Lisbon Strategy is to be held under the auspices of the sumer university Brave New Europe 2005.

LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session.

FRIDAY, 15 July

BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU finance ministers are to debate the proposed EU budget for 2006. Slovenia is to be represented by head of the permanent mission to the EU Ciril Stokelj.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to host a conference on technological platforms, to be attended by European Commissioner for Science and Research Janez Potocnik.

LJUBLJANA - The Agency for Technological Development is to present Austria's model of methods for the implementation of competitiveness-boosting measures, and practical examples.
