Ljubljana, 11 July - Below is a schedule of events for Tuesday, 12 July:

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to continue the regular July session at 10 AM, to complete second reading of the amendments to the act on the pension and disability insurance, and pass a vote on the amendments to the act on local elections. (STA)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to attend the meeting of the EU Council for Economic and Financial Affairs (ECOFIN). (STA)

LONDON, Great Britain - Minister of Education and Sport Milan Zver is to attend a two-day informal meeting of EU education ministers.

CARDIFF, UK - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to attend the second day of an informal meeting of the EU Competitiveness Council.

LJUBLJANA - Czech Health Minister Milada Emmerova is to conclude her two-day visit to Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to hold a meeting with representatives of the Slovenian Students' Organisation, at 3 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The junior ruling coalition New Slovenia (NSi) is to hold a news conference at 11 AM to talk about current judicial and internal affairs.

LJUBLJANA - The junior ruling coalition People's Party (SLS) is to hold a news conference at 11 AM, to talk about current agriculture issues.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition Social Democrats (SD) are to hold a news conference at 12 AM to talk about cohesion regions.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce (GZS) is to host a Russian-Slovenian business conference at 9 AM.

JESENICE - Steel mill Acroni is to present the business results for the first half of the year at a press conference at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of Cambodia and Jordan.

LJUBLJANA - Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to stage a press conference at 10 AM, to speak about current human rights issues.

LJUBLJANA - Nova Revija, a right-leaning intellectual journal, is to speak to the press at 11 AM, to mark the 25th anniversary of the initiative to establish the journal.

LJUBLJANA - A round table on challenges facing the ratification of the EU constitution is to be held at 4 PM as part of the summer university Brave New Europe 2005.
