Ljubljana, 16 July - Parliament was busy passing bills last week. The most controversial piece of legislation it passed was the public broadcaster act, which however will have to be endorsed in a referendum first before it can enter into force. Thanks to the opposition LDS and SD, Slovenian voters, accustomed to referenda, are expected to be invited to turn up at the polls in September in what will be the first vote following the 2004 general election.
