MPs Back Amendments to Local Election Act
Ljubljana, 12 July - Parliament has backed the government-sponsored amendments to the act on local elections, which introduce women quotas for local elections and enable EU citizens to run for municipal and city councils. The amendments were endorsed on Tuesday, with the third reading scheduled for Friday.
