Schedule of Events for Thursday, 14 July

Ljubljana, 13 July - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 14 July:

LJUBLJANA - The government is expected to confirm the bill on double pricing and amendments to the health insurance act at its weekly session. The agenda also includes amendments to the act on the support environment for business. Press conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Russian province of Sverdlovsk headed by Governor Eduard Rossel are to continue their visit here by meeting Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak and FM Dimitrij Rupel. Vizjak and Rossel are to speak to the press at 3 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, the OSCE chairman, is scheduled to hold talks at 3 PM with Soeren Jessen-Petersen, the special representative of the UN secretary general for Kosovo.

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is expected to discuss possible ways of resolving the status of the erased as the regular July session resumes. Changes to the act on the National Council are also to be passed. (STA)

SENTILJ - Representatives of the erased are to talk to the press at 1 PM about the formation of an information centre for the erased.

CEZSOCA - Joerg Haider, the governor of the Austrian province Carinthia, is to meet Environment Minister Janez Podobnik. Haider is expected to hand over an EUR 200,000 cheque for post-earthquake reconstruction in Posocje region; at 4 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Slovenia will join EU member states in paying respect to the victims of the terrorist attacks in London with a two-minute silence at 1 PM.

VRHNIKA - Leather manufacturer IUV Industrija usnja vrhnika is to talk to the press at 11 AM about the current situation in the firm after rumours that talks with a potential strategic partner have failed. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to unveil at 1 PM a proposal whereby four ministry services would be merged into an agency for competitiveness.

LJUBLJANA - A round table dubbed "The Reality of the Lisbon Strategy" is to be held as part of the summer university Brave New Europe 2005; at 3:30 PM.

SAN MARINO - Domzale, the runners-up in the Slovenian premiere division last season, are to take on Domagnano of San Marino in their first European game ever. The kick-off is at 8:45 PM.
