MONDAY, 18 July
        LJUBLJANA - Members of the government-sponsored tax reform task force are to outline at a news conference their proposals, which they have recently handed to the finance minister.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a session of the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council; enlargement onto Croatia and Turkey as well as Great Britain's plans for the EU's next budget period to top the agenda.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Agriculture Minister Marija Lukacic is to attend a session of the EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council; sugar reform on the agenda.
        BRUSSELS, Belgium - Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to attend an informal dinner of EU ministers in charge of trade to discuss liberalisation of world trade.
        GRAZ, Austria - Speaker of the National Assembly France Cukjati is to visit the Austrian province of Styria, invited by the president of the provincial parliament.
        BELGRADE, Serbia-Montenegro - A Madrid Club-sponsored conference on Serbia-Montenegro's EU and NATO integration to be attended by Slovenia's Former President Milan Kucan.
        LONDON, the UK - The conference of parliamentary EU affairs bodies (COSAC) is to meet, to be attended by Slovenia's Tomaz Stebe.
        PODGORJE - The Podgorje/Jelovica border crossing is to open on the Slovenian-Croatian border.
        LJUBLJANA - New Slovenia (NSi) is to mark its 5th anniversary, with leader Andrej Bajuk as key-note speaker.
        LJUBLJANA - The minister of higher education, science and technology and the culture minister are to speak to the press about the delayed construction of a new National and University Library building.

TUESDAY, 19 July
        LJUBLJANA - Irish Ambassador Gary Ansbro and Hungarian Ambassador Gabor Bagi are to pay separate farewell visits to the Foreign Ministry.
        LJUBLJANA - The Public Health Institute is to present results of a survey on the use of condom during the first sexual intercourse among Slovenians.
        LJUBLJANA - Results of a national reading survey, carried out by the Advertising Chamber, are to be presented.
        KOPER - The Slovenian-Italian cross-border projects funded from the Interreg programme for the period 2000 to 2006 are to be presented to the press.
        PIRAN - The international music festival "Piran in Music", through 31 July, is to begin.

WEDNESDAY, 20 July
        LJUBLJANA - Responding to an initiative of an opposition leader, PM Janez Jansa called a meeting of party leaders, the minister of regional policy and the European affairs state secretary to discuss the division of Slovenia into regions.
        VIENNA, Austria - FM and OSCE chairman Dimitrij Rupel is to address the panel entitled "The Contribution of the OSCE in Changing World".
        LJUBLJANA - Speaker of the National Assembly France Cukjati is to convene a working meeting on open issues regarding the government-sponsored changes to the acts on war graves and victims of war.
        LJUBLJANA - Commissioner for Access to Public Information Natasa Pirc Musar is to speak to the press about public information-related activity and developments over the past year.

THURSDAY, 21 July
        CELJE - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec and Slovenian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Maj. Gen. Ladislav Lipic are to inspect a motorised unit which has returned from the Althea mission in Bosnia, and a unit that is about to leave for the Isaf mission in Afghanistan.

SATURDAY, 23 July
        VANECA - Slovenian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Maj. Gen. Ladislav Lipic is to be the key-note speaker at a ceremony marking 60 years since the region of Prekmurje was liberated.
