Delo Says Sugar Reform Will Be Bitter

Ljubljana, 19 July - Daily Delo argues that only the biggest sugar producers will survive under the current proposal of European Agriculture Commissioner Mariann Fischer Boel for a radical reform of the sugar sector. However, the paper believes all is not lost for Slovenia's sugar beet growers and the only sugar producer in the country, although neither are very large.
