Two Decades in the Making, New University Library Still Far Away

Ljubljana, 19 July - It has been almost two decades since a new building for the National and University Library was designated as a priority investment project, and nine years since excavation works began in earnest at the proposed site. The deadline for completion, first set for 1990, has been shifted several times, yet the site is still nothing but a construction pit.
