Ljubljana, 20 July - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 21 July:
LJUBLJANA - Weekly government session. The agenda includes a programme for the promotion of foreign direct investment in the 2005-2009 period and government standpoints for the 2006-2006 social agreement. A press conference is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to convene for an extraordinary session at noon to set a date for the referendum on public broadcaster RTV Slovenija. The referendum request was filed by 31 MPs of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) and Social Democrats (SD). (STA)
CELJE - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec and Slovenian Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Maj. Gen. Ladislav Lipic are to inspect a motorised unit which has returned from the Althea mission in Bosnia, and a unit that is about to leave for the Isaf mission in Afghanistan; at 5 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The performance of the Health Insurance Institute (ZZZS) in the first six months of the year is to be presented at a press conference at 3:15 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The European forum of the opposition Social Democrats (SD) is to host a debate entitled "EU - Crisis or Opportunity", starting at 4 PM. Participants include SD president and MEP Borut Pahor, EU Ambassador Erwan Fouere and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel.
LJUBLJANA - The women's wing of the ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) is to stage a public debate on women in politics at 7 PM.
