Ljubljana, 21 July - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 22 July:
YALTA, Ukraine - Marcel Koprol, the head of the Government Office for European Affairs (SVEZ), is to attend a two-day conference which will discuss Ukraine's steps towards the EU. MEPs Michel Rocard and Elmar Brok will be the keynote speakers alongside KOprol. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, is to discuss the act on working hours and mandatory breaks of lorry drivers and the bill on balanced regional development at 12 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) are to talk to the press at 11 AM to comment on the proposed amendments to the media act.
LJUBLJANA - The coalition People's Party (SLS) is to outline its view on current political developments, including the establishment of cohesion regions and the government committee for reform; at 1 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The maiden session of the government council for student issues. Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan and Miha Ulcar of the Student Organisation of Slovenia (SOS) are to give statements to the press at noon.
