Ljubljana, 26 July - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 27 July:

LONDON, Great Britain - European Affairs State Secretary Marcel Koprol is meeting representatives of the British EU presidency in the morning to discuss negotiations on the EU's financial arrangements for the 2007-2013 period. (STA)

NOVA GORICA, Slovenia/GORIZIA, Italy - The head of the European Commission Representation, Erwan Fouere, is due to visit the two border cities in the morning, where he is expected to meet mayors Mirko Brulc and Vittorio Brancati. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Director of the Slovenian-run International Trust Fund for Demining Dorijan Marsic are due to sign, at 11 AM, an agreement to finance demining of Trans-Caucasus.

TRIESTE, Italy - Two Slovenian minority organisations, the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Association and the Council of Slovenian Organisations, are to speak about minority problems at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Janez Drobnic is to address the press at 12:30 PM to outline the positions for the 2006-2009 social agreement recently confirmed by the government.

LJUBLJANA - The supervisory board of petrol retailer Petrol is to convene a session at 2 PM to be briefed on the contents of a study that the company's two largest owners, the state-run Pension Fund Management (KAD) and Restitution Fund (SOD), quoted as the reason why the AGM should not confer a discharge to the management.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary health committee is to discuss amendments to the health care and insurance act at a session beginning at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The leadership of New Slovenia (NSi, a junior member of the ruling coalition) is expected to debate preparations for the 19 November party congress. Party president Andrej Bajuk is expected to make a statement following the meeting, at 8 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The leadership of Pensioner's Party (DeSUS, a junior coalition partner) is to hold a session, followed by a press conference at noon to comment on several topical issues.

LJUBLJANA - Serbia-Montenegro Ambassador Ranko Milovic is to present Borut Suklje, Slovenia's ambassador to this country, with a decoration on behalf of President Svetozar Marovic at a ceremony scheduled for 5 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The 14th international summer festival Trnfest is to get underway with a performance by Polish street theatre Teatr Porywacze Cial in Presern Square at 6:15 PM.
