Schedule of Events for Friday, 29 July

LJUBLJANA - The government is to convene a session dedicated to forthcoming budgets. The agenda includes draft budget memorandums for the 2006-2010 period and the proposed allocation of expenditures for the 2006 and 2007 budgets. A press conference is scheduled for 1:30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to address the press at 12:30 PM to outline the course of preparations for Slovenia's EU presidency in the first half of 2008, and talk about other current topics. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Nick Witney, the chief executive of the European Defence Agency, is due in Slovenia as part of his tour of EU member states. He is set to hold talks at the Defence Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce (GZS).

GRAZ, Austria - The second day of a meeting of interior ministers of Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech republic and Slovenia, focusing on internal security and the fight against terrorism. Slovenia is represented by Interior Ministry State Secretary Vinko Gorenak.

LJUBLJANA - The coalition People's Party (SLS) is to hold a press conference at 9:30 AM to outline the party's priorities in family and housing policies.

LJUBLJANA - Ljubljana mayor Danica Simsic is set to receive at 10 AM a delegation of Russia's Leningrad Region headed by Governor Valery Serdyukov.
