Rupel Tells Austrian Daily Slovenia Represents No Threat
Vienna, 29 July - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel has underlined that the Austrian government has clear obligations to honour regarding the Slovenian minority, not just because of the Austrian State Treaty but also because the decision of its Constitutional Court. However, he told Die Presse he does not understand "why some of our Austrian friends are so afraid of Slovenia."
