Papers Comments on IRA's Decision to End Armed Campaign

Ljubljana/Maribor, 30 July - Two Slovenian dailies comment on Thursday's announcement by the Irish Republican Army that it was ceasing its armed campaign. Daily Delo claims on Saturday that the IRA has been forced to give up its armed fight because of terrorist threats from fundamentalist Islamists. Meanwhile, Maribor-based paper Vecer points out that the recent campaign by the sisters of an Irish man slain by IRA operatives was the nail in the coffin of the IRA.
