Vecer Looks at Deadly Baghdad Stampede

Maribor, 2 September - The largest religious community in Iraq buried its dead Thursday after more than a thousand Shiites died the day before in a human stampede during a pilgrimage in Baghdad. In the past two and a half years of the US military presence, Iraq has probably never been so close to a civil war, the daily Vecer writes on Friday.
