Ljubljana, 4 September - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 5 September:
BAKU, Azerbaijan/YEREVAN, Armenia - FM Dimitrij Rupel, the incumbent OSCE chairman, is to visit Azerbaijan to meet its top officials over the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. On Monday evening, he is to travel on to Armenia. (STA)
BLED - The international conference "Nuclear Energy for New Europe 2005" is to begin at 4 PM with an address by the key-note speaker, European Science and Research Commissioner Janez Potocnik. The four-day event will bring together 180 experts from almost 30 countries. (STA)
PIRAN - Fishermen from the coastal town of Piran are to speak to the press at noon about the working conditions in the Bay of Piran resulting from the undetermined border in the bay. (STA)
RAZKRIZJE - The coalition People's Party (SLS) will organise a panel discussing the border with Croatia under the title "For a Just Border with Croatia"; at 6 PM.
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS), a leading trade union association in the country, is to speak to the press at 11 AM about layoffs and the companies' responsibility for them. (STA)
PODCETRTEK/SMARJE PRI JELSAH - President Janez Drnovsek is to visit two small municipalities in the east of Slovenia, Podcetrtek and Smarje pri Jelsah, and also meet with several other mayors from the region.
CELJE - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm and State Secretary Robert Marolt are to visit Celje, and give a statement to the press about the state of judiciary there at 1:15 PM.
MARIBOR - The University of Maribor is to present celebrations marking its 30th anniversary at a press conference at 10 AM.
