US Open: Srebotnik and Krizan Out of Doubles
New York, 5 September - Slovenian tennis players Katarina Srebotnik and Tina Krizan have been eliminated from the women's doubles competition at the US Open. Krizan, paired with Jelena Jankovic of Serbia-Montenegro, retired after playing only one game of the second round match against the Russian-US pairing of Nadia Petrova and Meghann Shaughnessy, whereas Srebotnik, playing with Japan's Shinobu Asagoe, lost her third round match against the American-Australian pair of Lisa Raymond and Samantha Stosur 6:1, 6:3.
