Schedule of Events for Monday, 12 September

VILNIUS/RIGA/TALLINN, Lithuania/Latvia/Estonia - PM Janez Jansa is staring a three-day tour of the Baltic states, with Lithuania his first stop. He will be accompanied by FM Dimitrij Rupel and Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak as well as a strong business delegation. Jansa and his counterpart Algirdas Brazauskas are to speak to the press at 12:20 PM. (STA)

VIENNA, Austria - Two-day, closed-door consultations on OSCE reform are to be launched in Vienna, bringing together political directors from all 55 OSCE participating states. Slovenia to be represented by Ambassador Boris Frlec.

LJUBLJANA - Military officials from NATO members states are to begin a two-day visit, to be received by Chief-of-Staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces, Major General Ladislav Lipic, and Defence Minister Karl Erjavec (1:45 PM).

BUCHAREST, Romania - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to start a two-day visit to Bucharest, where he is to take part in the 55th conference of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe.

BEIJING, China - Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic, who is accompanied by a strong delegation of Slovenian businesses, is visiting China.

LJUBLJANA - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to hold a press conference at noon to outline some possible changes to how VAT is accounted. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) is to talk to the press at noon on the proposed tax reform.

LJUBLJANA - The leader of the opposition Social Democrats (SD) Borut Pahor is to give a press conference at 12 PM to discuss topical issues. (STA)

NOVO MESTO - Ales Gulic and Majda Sirca of the opposition Liberal Democrats (LDS) are to talk to the press at 11 AM about their arguments against the new act on the public broadcaster.
